Genelec Co-founder and Chairman of the Board Ilpo Martikainen opens the Genelec 30th anniversary program: "Today, we have a good reason to be proud, happy and thankful."

Genelec's 30th anniversary presentation included musical interludes combining voice, harp and co-founder Ilpo Martikainen's son Juho on double bass.

Genelec founding employee, Ritva Leinonen, who recently retired from her financial manager's role, is presented an award by Ilpo Martikainen as CEO/MD Veikko Hyvönen (left) and co-founder Topi Partanen look on.

Genelec co-founder Topi Partanen (still a board member, though recently retired from his position as Vice President and Technical Director) receives an award from Ilpo Martikainen.

A number of Genelec employees received longevity awards during the 30th anniversary celebration.

Will Eggleston, marketing director for Genelec's U.S. subsidiary, shared a view of the history studio monitoring, including Genelec's role, in the USA with the attendees of Genelec's 30th anniversary celebration.

Dr. Yrjö Neuvo, researcher, academician and former Nokia Sr. VP delivered the keynote address during Genelec's anniversary celebration.

It's a birthday party--there has to be cake!

Guests attending the party post Genelec's formal anniversary program were given the opportunity to tour the factory before retiring to the lawn for food, drink and music.

 

The Genelec factory tour included its demonstration theater.
