Wauchula, FL (November 5, 2009)--Wauchula has been slammed by hurricanes in recent years, which have sometimes destroyed up to 85 percent of its homes and businesses. Recently the town raised enough funds for a new installed PA system and chose One Systems speakers.
When Gulf Coast Technical Services (Largo, FL) was awarded the installation contract for the new system, it chose One Systems speakers based on the specifications of Michael Chafee Enterprises of Sarasota. A Symetrix Zone Mix 760 provides all of the processing for the system. The 30-speaker installation covers four city blocks, the neighboring City Park, and the gazebo, which holds public addresses and live music. Performing the installation was John Altamura and Greg DeGiorgio of Gulf Coast Technical Services.
"There's really no comparison between the old system and the new one," said Michael Chafee. "The clarity and intelligibility of the new system is phenomenal--like auditory gold. Plenty of headroom and very low distortion are worlds away from the tinny sound of yesterday. Not only do they use the system for the bands that roll through every few weeks and parades, but also for background music That entire four blocks is immersed in really nice tunes, either from an iPod or from a local radio station."
