Industry Veterans Join DTS Board of Directors

Agoura Hills, CA (October 8, 2003)--DTS has appointed three new members to their Board of Directors: Joerg Agin, Joseph Fischer, and Warren Lieberfarb.

Joerg Agin has been appointed as the chairman of the company's nominating and corporate governance committee, and will also serve on the company's audit and compensation committees. Joseph Fischer has been appointed as the chairman of the company's audit committee and will also serve on the nominating and corporate governance committee.

Agin is President of Agin Consulting, which is engaged in specific project work associated with hybrid and digital motion imaging systems. After more than 31 years in the motion picture industry, Agin retired in September 2001 from the Eastman Kodak Company. He first joined [Eastman] Kodak as an electrical engineer, but most recently served as a senior vice president of [Eastman] Kodak and president of the company's Entertainment Imaging Division.

Retired since 1996, Fischer was a senior financial and operating executive in the entertainment industry for almost 30 years. From 1987 until his retirement, Fischer served as executive vice president of the motion picture group at MCA, Inc.

Lieberfarb recently completed more than 20 years as the head of Warner Home Video, the home entertainment arm of Warner Bros. A recipient of an Emmy Award in recognition of his unique role in launching the DVD format, Lieberfarb was a driving force behind the conceptualization, development, and worldwide implementation of the medium. Called "the Father of DVD" by Variety, he had the initial vision for a high-quality, convenient and affordable digital / optical media for home entertainment.
