Pyramind to Host Panel

San Francisco (October 24, 2003)--On Saturday, October 25, Pyramind will host a special panel discussion entitled, "The Future of Digital Audio and Its Impact on the Music, Film and Interactive Industries." Hosted at Pyramind's new 6,500-square-foot media complex at 880 Folsom Street in San Francisco, the panel features some of the Bay Area's leading industry professionals from the music, film and gaming industries.

Those scheduled to appear on the panel include Jack Buser, game division, Dolby Labs; Merl Sanders, Jr., executive director, SF Chapter of the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences; Greg Landau, Grammy-nominated producer; Joel Jaffe, owner/producer/engineer, Studio D in Sausalito; Chuck Doud, director of music, Sony Computer Entertainment of America; and Dave Nelson, supervising sound editor/owner, Outpost Studios. Moderated by Pyramind's own Greg Gordon, the panel will look at the impact of digital technology's rapid evolution on all facets of audio production.

This free Audio Technology Panel will be preceded at 4 p.m. by a reception with the speakers and open house of Pyramind's new 880 Folsom Street Media Complex. Following the panel at 6:30 p.m., Cutting Edge Audio and Pyramind will offer studio demonstrations and beta software (in pre-release) sneak previews in its two newest audio studios; now outfitted with Digidesign Focusrite Control 24 mix desks and fully expanded Pro Tools and Logic Audio systems.
