Business Chops Workshop to Feature Industry Expert Speakers

Hollywood, CA (October 29, 2003)--"Business Chops: Success Coaching for Musicians and Songwriters" is a unique, interactive workshop that will take place this Sunday, November 2, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the Knitting Factory in Hollywood. This information-packed, full-day event will empower and teach independent musicians, songwriters and industry professionals valuable business and marketing techniques that will show them how to be on top of their game.

Workshop coaches John Stiernberg and Diane Rapaport will provide planning, branding and marketing techniques and interactive exercises geared to fast-track indie careers.

Industry experts Bobby Borg, Andre Fischer, Scott Mathews, Michael C. Ross and John Wooler will discuss the "artist development revolution" and how power is shifting from major labels to indie artists.

The event is also offering a continental breakfast, light lunch, big-ticket-item prize giveaways (gear and software), valuable workshop handouts, resource materials, musician resources, and more.

A newly added feature is the Artist Development Room hosted by studioexpresso. This is an opportunity for recording artists to meet studioexpresso producers who will be on hand to offer advice, suggestions and feedback on how to develop their song or production, and to maximize production value. Artists should bring song sample (CD/tape demo) and sign up at the studioexpresso desk at 9 a.m. on Sunday. Submissions will be reviewed on-site by studioexpresso producers on a first-come, first-served basis.

There are two scheduled Artist Development Room sessions: 12:30 -1:15 p.m. and 5-6 p.m. Those who prefer a private review, can submit their demo and fill out the feedback form.
