Nutmeg Has Flava

Once again, poor Flava just gets carried away.

New York, NY (March 21, 2008)--Nutmeg Audio Post provided sound design, music search and mixing services for a spot promoting one of VH1's highest rated series. Nutmeg senior mixer Matt Richman worked alongside VH1 director Micah Perta to mix promos and select sound effects for the Flavor of Love 3 reality series featuring Flava Flav.

First, however, Richman bypassed what may have been a lengthy music search with the creation of a stark drone to kick off a tense board meeting with Flavor and an all-female executive team. "At Nutmeg, we do a lot of custom sound design to create something tailored for each spot," Richman explains. "It can help us to get the correct texture right away, which takes less time than going to an outside composer or getting a stock piece of music that doesn't quite fit right.

Along the way, we're always mindful that the dialog or VO is our message. We'll raise the floor with sound design, sound effects and music as much as possible, and then make sure that the voices and their message are right on top."
